Dorsal spines (total): 7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11; Anal spines: 1; Anal soft rays: 9 - 10. Head and body without any markings; blackish-brown when alive and in spirits (Ref. 43239); characterized further by absence of scales; complete pelvic fin frenum and basal membrane; depth of body at level of pelvic fins 2.8-3.1 in SL (Ref. 90102).
