Description


Vertebrae: 36 - 37. This species is characterized by the following: spines of first dorsal fin usually 9; usually P-V 3/I II II I I I I 0/12 (Ref. 93271); segmented rays of second dorsal fin 12-14; segmented rays of anal fin 10-12; longitudinal scales 44-52; posteriormost pterygiophore of first dorsal fin with a spinous ray; interneural gap usually located behind posteriormost pterygiophore of first dorsal fin; anal pterygiophores anterior to first haemal spine usually 2; upper two-thirds of caudal fin has several distinct vertical rows of black arrowhead-shaped spots (Ref. 93271).
