  • Asia: Malay and Indochinese peninsulas, possibly also Indonesia. Known from the Mekong delta and may also be found in the tidal zone of Cambodia.

    • Biology

    Facultative air-breathing in the genus (Ref. 126274); Occurs in estuaries and in the freshwater tidal zone of rivers. Feeds on small fishes, crustaceans and insects. Not seen in the markets (Ref. 12693).
