• North America: occurs only in the upper Green and Barren River systems in Kentucky and northern central Tennessee, USA.

Biology

Inhabits fast, rocky riffles of creeks and small to medium rivers (Ref. 5723); also found in small streams (Ref. 10294). Feeds on dipteran larvae (midges and blackflies) (Ref. 10294).
