Description


Dorsal soft rays (total): 10 - 11; Anal soft rays: 8 - 9. Diagnosis: last simple dorsal-fin ray smooth on hind margin; scale formula 4.5-5.5/21-26/2.5-3.5; 1.5 scales between lateral line and pelvic-fin base; 8-10 scales around caudal peduncle; lateral-line scales as deep as other scales on sides; 7-8 branched dorsal fin rays; no barbels; lateral line incomplete, deeply depressed below dorsal fin; maximum reported size 33 mm SL; dorsal fin marked with black spot at midpoint of its length; black spot at end of caudal peduncle (Ref. 2940, 81282).

In the Nile basin known from the Sudd (Jebel system) and White Nile (Ref. 28714).
