Material examined. NCL- 2 (3 66, 5 99, 1 immature), NCL- 7 (1 9, 1 immature), NCL- 8 (2 66, 2 99), NCL- 9 (1 6), NCL-I 0 (2 99), NCL-ll (1 6), NCL- 12 (1 9), NCL- 15 (10 66, 13 99, 2 immature), NCL- 17 (8 66, 7 99), NCL- 18 (6 66, 6 99, 2 immature), NCL- 19 (11 66, 12 99, 3 immature), NCL- 21 (3 66, 1 9, 1 immature), NCL- 22 (466,4 99, 3 immature), NCL- 80 (2 66, 1 9, 2 immature), NCL- 212 (1 9, 1 immature). Remarks. New Caledonian material does not appear to differ significantly from that reported from other Pacific islands. Habitat. Amongst sea grasses, red and brown algae, spherical rhodoliths and coral rubble, 0 - 2 m. Distribution. Hawaii, Marshall Islands, Kiribati, Tonga, Western Samoa, Papua New Guinea, New Caledonia.
