Description


Dorsal spines (total): 1 - 3; Dorsal soft rays (total): 2 - 14; Anal soft rays: 13. Eyes in head, 1.9-2.2. Two simple strong spines on preoperculum and suboperculum (Ref. 232).

    Biology


    Found in deep water, 150-600 m, on muddy bottoms. Feeds on benthic invertebrates, mainly worms and crustaceans (Ref. 53643).
