Description

Dorsal soft rays (total): 6; Anal soft rays: 4; Vertebrae: 19. Whole body covered with extremely fine tubercles giving skin a velvety appearance. Mouth very wide. Cephalic lateral-line counts: subopercular 6, preopercular, 2. Tail lateral-line counts 13. Paired fins slender and weak; skin slightly puffy with fin membranes thin and translucent (Ref. 40826).
