The presence of the species A. oleosa is reported off the Azores, in the PECS area (Atlantis Seamout); (Shcherbachev et al. 1985) AMK 4 – Academician Mstislav Keldysh, FISH 1556546, 29.9800 º W, 34.4500 º N, depth 1240 - 1320 m.
