Dorsal spines (total): 7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10; Anal spines: 1; Anal soft rays: 10; Vertebrae: 26. A black ocellus on the posterior part of the first dorsal fin. Upper jaw thick and slightly extended. The cheek and upper portion of operculum scaled.
