Dorsal spines (total): 0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 13 - 16; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 15 - 17; Vertebrae: 48 - 50. Lower jaw proportionately longer at larger sizes. Anal fin rays usually 16; vertebrae usually 49; gill rakers usually 19-21 on the first arch.
