Description


Dorsal spines (total): 7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9; Anal spines: 2; Anal soft rays: 8. Characterized by having transparent pinkish body; broad reddish brown band from snout to the anal-fin base; broad dark brown band at the middle of the body surface (Ref. 93839); depth of body 2.7-3.0 in SL (Ref. 90102).

    Occurs inshore (Ref. 7300). Rocky and rubble reef, secretive under pieces or in the back of low caves (Ref. 48635). Solitary and cryptic, hides under ledges and rocks (Ref 90102).
