  • South America: Orinoco River basin, in the Vichada River drainage and the middle Meta River drainage in Colombia, and along the middle Orinoco River basin.

    Does not appear to practice harem spawning. The parents stay and raise the young together (Ref. 12251). Maximum length 7.0 cm TL (Ref. 12251).
