Description
Dorsal soft rays (total): 8; Anal soft rays: 5. Oxynoemacheilus hanae differs from other congeners in the Tigris drainage by a combination of non-unique characters. It is a member of species group (O. bergianus, O. euphraticus, O longipinnis, O. karunensis, O. kurdistanicus, O. parvinae) with suborbital groove in males (vs. absent in O. chomanicus, O. frenatus, O. gyndes, O. kiabii and O. zagrosensis) and caudal fin deeply emarginate (vs. slightly emarginate or truncate in O. chomanicus, O frenatus, . gyndes, O kiabii and O. zagrosensis) (Ref. 115651).
