Multivesicula spec Rusek, 1982
Description
Remarks: The Nearctic M. dolomitica is very similar to the Palaearctic M. giljarovi Rusek, 1982, described from the vicinity of Lake Baikal (Siberia). According to the original descriptions, these species differ in number of lobes in the postantennal organ (~ 60 vs 75) and the absence of a single microseta (m 4) on the first abdominal segment (which is present in giljarovi). The number of lobes appears to be variable: specimens from Banks Island and Prince Patrick Island in NT have a postantennal organ with 65 – 87 lobes (our data). General distribution: Nearctic and Eastern Palaearctic.
