Description


Dorsal spines (total): 16 - 17; Dorsal soft rays (total): 7 - 8; Anal spines: 3; Anal soft rays: 6 - 13; Vertebrae: 24 - 26. Distinguished uniquely from all other congeners in having a prominent dark blotch around the ventral base of the pectoral fin, separate from a small dark spot at the dorsal base of the pectoral fin (Ref. 52483).
