Description


Dorsal spines (total): 0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 65 - 73; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 46 - 51; Vertebrae: 32 - 35. Presence of scales on all areas of the head (except nasal area and a very narrow stripe on angle of preopercle in specimens larger than 5 cm SL); absence of a membrane connecting the dorsal, anal and caudal fins; two pelvic fins juxtaposed, enclosed by a single dermal envelope and positioned on the medial ventral line of the body (Ref. 49504).
