  • Africa: Sanaga, Nyong, Lobo, Ntem, Ivindo, Dja, Boumba and Doumé rivers in Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon and northwestern Republic of Congo (Ref. 47461).

    • Biology

    Occurs in swamps, swampy parts of shallow brooks and small streams under dark forest cover on the inland plains rainforest (Ref. 3788). Not a seasonal killifish. Is difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
