Biology

Occurs in swamps, quiet parts of brook and flood pools in coastal rainforest (Ref. 47461, 80395). Usually in shallow water (Ref. 80395). Lives over mud substrate and among fallen leaves (Ref. 47461). Entomophagous (Ref. 51193). Not a seasonal killifish; difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
