Description

Two of the syntypes of the junior synonym of this species were collected by the R. V. Albatross from Panama. USNM 34315 from Morro De Puercos (Centroid Latitude: 7.1042, Centroid Longitude: -80.5667), Azuero Peninsula, Panama, eastern Pacific (depth 1271 m) and USNM 34311 from southeast of Punta Mala (Centroid Latitude: 7.0917, Centroid Longitude: -79.6667), Azuero Peninsula, Panama, eastern Pacific from a depth range of 1271 to 2323 m.

This species has also been collected in Panama from South of Coiba Island (Centroid Latitude: 6.4333,Centroid Longitude:-81.8167) from 1415 m.
