Description
Dorsal spines (total): 9; Dorsal soft rays (total): 27 - 30; Anal spines: 3; Anal soft rays: 24 - 28. Gill rakers on first gill arch short, broad, and well separated. Third fin dorsal spine 25-32%SL. Attains 15 cm SL (P. Heemstra, personal communication 10/02).
