Description


Dorsal spines (total): 2; Dorsal soft rays (total): 7; Anal spines: 2; Anal soft rays: 8. Jaws of about equal length in front; maxilla reaching below anterior margin of orbit; 2/3rd suborbital half as wide as uncovered part of cheek below; dorsal midway between anterior margin of orbit and caudal base; 4-6 outer pectoral rays strong; about seven rows of scales between lateral line and base of pelvic fin; predorsal scales 25 scales; about 13 bluish spots along side of back; about 12 incomplete bars go from back downwards towards lateral line; and a dark bar along upper 3rd of dorsal fin (Ref. 93114).
