Dorsal spines (total): 9; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11 - 12; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 11 - 13. Second dorsal fin spine noticeably shorter than third. Pectoral fin with a falcate posterior margin and a whitish central area. Interopercular flap present.
