Knipowitschia cameliae Nalbant & Oţel, 1995

Description


This species is distinguished from its congeners by the following characters: cephalic lateral line canals absent; scales on body limited under pectoral only. Both sexes are black dorsally, lighter towards the belly. Fins are dotted black, male with a black dot on intermediate membrane of first dorsal fin. Both sexes sometimes show two or three rows of black dots on second dorsal fin (Ref. 89714). Live breeding males with 10-15 dark, irregular bars (Ref. 59043).
