Vertebrae: 139. The species has the following characters: snout short, bluntly rounded; posterior nostril opening ventrally from a tube on upper lip behind labial flange; maxillary and mandibular teeth biserial anteriorly, uniserial posteriorly, compressed and incisor-like, closely appressed (Ref. 50529).
