Distinguished by the following characters: pseudosubmental crest present; dorsoanterior portion of frontals fused; pareitals meeting in midline; no pelvic fins; ventral ramus of posttemporal weak; postorbital head pores 5; pectoral fin rays 14 (Ref. 58274).
