Dorsal spines (total): 7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 33; Anal spines: 3; Anal soft rays: 31 - 32. Eye large, about 1/2 head length; scales with a central ridge on interorbital, nape, belly and bases of soft dorsal and anal fins (Ref. 559).
