Description


Diagnosed from congeners in Balkan Peninsula by having the following characters: origin of anal fin below branched dorsal ray 4-7; lateral line with 49+ 2-3 scales; anal fin with 14-17½ branched rays; 18-25 gill rakers; ventral keel exposed for 8-12 scales in front of anus; caudal peduncle depth 1.7-2.1 times in its length; lacking or only faint dark lateral stripe (more distinct in preserved individuals) (Ref. 59043).
