Dorsal spines (total): 0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 8. Diagnosis: This species is unique among African Garra in possession of a small, acutely pointed head, narrow mouth, regressed rostral cap, and a fully exposed upper jaw (Ref. 58532).
