Alburnus danubicus Antipa, 1909

Description


Can be distinguished from all congeners by having 17-20½ branched anal-fin rays and 68-70 total lateral line scales (Ref. 75106). Diagnosed from congeners in Black Sea basin by its anal fin origin about 1½ -2½ scales behind base of last dorsal ray, lateral line with 63-64 + 4 scale, and anal fin with 17-20½ branched rays (Ref. 59043).
