Description

Eastern Pacific, Gulf of Califonia, Mexico, possibly as far South as Panama.

Until 1990 this species was thought to reach only as far South as 26 degrees North (Maluf, 1988). However, Harold & Telford (1990) reported that they collected specimens from an unspecified location in the Bay of Panama. Lessios (2005) also reported collecting specimens which may represent members of this species from Golfo de San Miguel (8 11.0 N, 79 25.00 W), eastern Pacific, from a depth of 10 m.
